Product Description

H-shaped steel is an economical and efficient profile with more optimized cross-sectional area distribution and more reasonable strong weight ratio. It is named because its cross-section is the same as the English letter "H". Since all parts of H-shaped steel are arranged at right angles, H-shaped steel has the advantages of strong bending resistance, simple construction, cost saving and light structural weight in all directions, and has been widely used. Due to the above advantages, H-shaped steel is widely used and is mainly used in: various civil and industrial building structures; industrial factories with various large spans and modern high-rise buildings, especially industrial factories with frequent seismic activities and high-temperature working conditions; large bridges with large load capacity, good cross-section stability and large spans; heavy equipment; highways; ship skeletons; mine support; foundation treatment and dam engineering; various machine components. There are many product specifications for H-shaped steel, and there are the following classification methods. (1) According to the width of the product, it is divided into wide flange, medium flange and narrow flange H-shaped steel. The flange width B of the wide and mid-wing H-shaped steel is greater than or equal to the web height H. The flange width B of narrow flange H-shaped steel is about one-half of the web height H. (2) According to product use, it is divided into H-shaped steel beams, H-shaped steel columns, H-shaped steel piles, and extremely thick flange H-shaped steel beams. Sometimes parallel leg channel steel and parallel flange T-shaped steel are also included in the range of H-shaped steel. Generally, narrow flange H-shaped steel is used as beam material and wide flange H-shaped steel is used as column material. Accordingly, it is also known as beam H-shaped steel and column H-shaped steel. (3) It is divided into welded H-shaped steel and rolled H-shaped steel according to the production method. (4) It is divided into large, medium and small H-shaped steel according to its size. Generally, products with web height H above 700mm are called large sizes, 300 to 700mm are called medium sizes, and those with less than 300mm are called small sizes. By the end of 1990, the world's largest H-shaped steel web had a height of 1200mm and a wing width of 530mm. Internationally, the product standards of H-shaped steel are divided into two categories: imperial systems and metric systems. The United States, Britain and other countries adopt the British system, while China, Japan, Germany and Russia adopt the metric system. Although the units of measurement used in the British and metric systems are different, most H-shaped steels are expressed in four dimensions, namely: web height h, flange width b, web thickness d and flange thickness t. Although countries around the world have different methods of representing the size of H-shaped steel. However, the size specification range and dimensional tolerance of the products produced are not much different.
