To enhance the corrosion resistance and service life of Carbon Steel Pipes, surface treatment technologies are of vital importance. Common treatment methods include galvanizing, coating and lining techniques. Hot-dip galvanizing involves immersing the steel pipes in molten zinc liquid to form a dense zinc-iron alloy layer, which can effectively isolate air and moisture. It is widely used in construction, agriculture and civil fields, such as the framework of greenhouse sheds and fire protection pipelines.

The coating technology forms a protective film on the surface of steel pipes by spraying high-molecular materials such as epoxy powder and polyethylene coating. The fused epoxy powder (FBE) coating has excellent adhesion and chemical corrosion

resistance, and is often used in long-distance oil and gas pipelines; the three-layer PE coating combines epoxy primer, adhesive and polyethylene outer sheath, has strong resistance to mechanical damage and is suitable for harsh environments.

The inner lining technology isolates the medium by embedding corrosion-resistant materials, such as ceramics, rubber, stainless steel, etc., on the inner wall of the steel pipe. For instance, carbon steel pipes lined with ceramics are used for transporting tailings from mines, taking advantage of the high wear resistance of ceramics to extend their service life; carbon steel pipes lined with stainless steel are used in the food and beverage industry to ensure the hygiene and safety of the transported medium. Through targeted surface treatment, carbon steel pipes can maintain stable performance under different working conditions, reducing maintenance costs and replacement frequencies.
