Since the 1990s, my country's galvanized steel plate production has made great progress, and the domestic galvanized plate processing capacity has reached nearly 3 million tons. The market share of domestic galvanized plates has increased rapidly, from about 27% in 1996 to about 59% in 1998. The main domestic manufacturers are Baosteel, Wuhan Iron and Steel, Pangang, Handan Iron and Steel, and Bengang, and the total production capacity has exceeded 1.3 million tons. The main difference between the existing hot-dip galvanized units in my country and the foreign level is that most units do not have pre-cleaning equipment, which makes it difficult to guarantee the galvanized surface quality; the existing optical finishing machines are relatively simple two-roll optical finishing machines (Pinggang is a four-roll), which cannot better improve the mechanical properties of strip steel, especially deep-drawing performance; the existing varieties are all single galvanized plates, with only a small number of alloyed plates, which are far from meeting the needs of the market.
